Nigerian trade technology startup Norebase, which is building a single platform for businesses to start, scale and operate in any African country, has secured a US$1 million pre-seed funding round to accelerate its growth.

➤Cogniteam has raised $5.6 million in a Series A round of funding.
Cogniteam, a robotics development startup that just launched the Nimbus robotics AI operating platform, has raised $5.6 million in a Series A round of funding. As the robotics revolution continues to exhibit both consumer and business demand, this financing allows Cogniteam to accelerate product development and Nimbus sales.

The software-as-a-service startup studio is announcing that it is launching a new sub-studio called 3founders.
As the name suggests, 3founders is focused on ‘web3’ startups, such as blockchain-related projects, NFT-enabled startups, and crypto-friendly businesses.
➤Co-Create aims to help NFT projects launch their own cryptocurrencies.
➤Uganda is clamping down on cryptocurrency trading. The Bank of Uganda (BoU) recently issued a warning to all payment service providers in the company, prohibiting them from engaging in any crypto-related transactions.
➤NEAR Foundation Sets Up a Regional Hub in Kenya, Boosting Blockchain Innovation in Africa.
The Swiss non-profit firm has launched a blockchain innovation hub in Kenya. The new hub has been launched in partnership with the blockchain community Sankore.

CRYPTO TAKES A DIVE
Last week was without a doubt the worst week for crypto-asset performance in a very long time,the crypto dip which even got worse. Bitcoin was plummeting to the lowest it has been since July 2021. After crawling back up to $40,000 last week, it collapsed to an alarming $31,000 .
The cryptocurrency wave this week has been bleeding which resulted to losses from investors and traders .

The Financial Industry in Africa is vast and the available Fintech startups promising day by day. Seems like a digital revolution, and competition for Lagos, Nigeria.👀

Visa opened its first African Innovation Studio in Kenya
Microsoft opened its first Africa Dev Centre in Kenya and Nigeria
Google to launch its first African product dev center in Nairobi
Another Innovation hub for Kenya - this time it’s blockchain Near
